Links to Research and Decisions

Country of origin information is available on the Country Advice page. The information is prepared by the Tribunals’ Country Advice Section for RRT and MRT Members.

The Tribunals currently publish at least 40% of decisions made by the MRT and RRT. Persons providing assistance to review applicants may find it useful to read past decision statements as they can provide insight into how Members may interpret legislation, apply policy and deal with particular issues. Published decisions can be found at the Australasian Legal Information Institute (AustLII) website:

Complaints or compliments

Our Service Charter sets out our standards of service.

For information on how to make a complaint or compliment see the Complaints and Compliments page. Complaints are taken seriously and investigations are conducted thoroughly, discreetly and sensitively. Any complaint in relation to a Tribunal officer will be thoroughly investigated by a senior officer. Any complaint in relation to a Member will be thoroughly investigated by the Principal Member. Where appropriate, measures are taken to protect the identity of the complainant and other individuals or confidential information. A complaint that is lodged during a review will not affect the outcome of the review.
